Business Administration Degrees

To learn the artwork of management and administration, it is very good for have a business administration degree. Business administration degrees help in that they represent an organized and systematic body of knowledge. In addition they play a pivotal part in formalizing methods of learning and skills accompanied by the existence of an ethical code to regulate the behavior of the members of the profession.

We listen to a lot about professional managers and their contribution to the financial development of the country. A closer examination of management as a profession reveals that unlike medicine or laws, management has to go a long way to truly have a suitable norm of behavior universally. There is no uniform code of conduct that governs the behavior of managers.

Managers also vary widely in respect of their concern for the ethics and values of the society where they function. Many a time, because of the obsession with profit, the societal passions are either compromised or neglected in the management job. Business administration degree teaches future managers how to conduct themselves when the problem like this arises. In addition, it teaches that managers are anticipated to set a good example in doing good to the culture.

While making decisions, they must be conscious of the impact of their decisions on the culture. According to business administration degree, the larger interests of the culture must get priority rather than short-term temptations. After all, given the enormous resources they have at their command, the expectation that managers should address themselves to the nagging problems of society is not unnatural. Unlike professions like engineering, medicine, and law, entry into management positions is not limited to individuals with a particular degree. Quite simply, one need not have an MBA or any other degree to practice management necessarily. According to experts, no greater damage could be done to an economy or to any society than to try and professionalize management by licensing managers, for instance, or by limiting access to management to people with a particular academic degree.

How do you yourself being involved in the Kellogg community envision? What clubs shall you participate in? How do you want to enhance the diversity of the Kellogg class?

What unique contribution do you bring to Kellogg? How many other schools did you apply to? If you got into all of them, which would you attend? If you could strike the reset button, what could you do differently? Anything that may be considered a weakness in the application you want to describe or expand on? If I asked your co-workers about you, what would they say? What feedback have you used to do better? What questions do you have for me? Are you experiencing any questions for me personally? In MBA Application Interview Strategy I discuss some specific ways to prepare for many of the types of questions discussed above. Additionally, since some Kellogg interviews involve behavioral interview questions, I will suggest researching my post, MIT Sloan MBA Interviews.

MIT Sloan MBA Interviews will also expose one to the STAR way for telling stories, if you need help in telling tales (especially ones about teamwork and leadershIp), I recommend looking at that post. Considering that your Kellogg essays should contain key content to answer many of the above interview questions and because no interviewer will have read your file, feel absolve to make complete use of your essays for your interview. Unlike in interviews where you have been read by the interviewer file, for Kellogg feel free to draw upon on your essays rather than even just your essays for Kellogg.
